A Grandover gem, unveiled

If you're looking for inspiration, look no further than this chic one-level home built by our friends at Wolfe Homes. These stylish clients were kind enough to give us a walkthrough as construction was wrapping, and we are proud to share the results with you!

Their kitchen, which sits on one end of a spacious living area with ample outdoor access, features grand double islands with waterfall countertops, state of the art appliances, & modern flat-panel cabinetry. The focal point is a striking marble mosaic on the backsplash, which incorporates both white and taupe tones to tie the room together & bring in the color of the fireplace opposite the kitchen — more on that later!

In the contemporary foyer, these doors are really the pièce de résistance, and the floor works beautifully to support it. We love how the mosaic border repeats the motif of interlocking rectangles, harkening to both the rectilinear design of the doors and the interlocking of the chandelier above.

In the spacious master shower, a spa-like feel was achieved using classic Carrara marble, organic pebble mosaics on the floor, & soft powdery blue hues throughout. The attention to detail is evident: Note the coordination of the niche trim with the finish of faucets, the decorative accent liner, and the way everything was lined up perfectly by the installer.

The pebbles are back and much bolder here in the guest bathroom, where they accent a travertine-look porcelain tile for a more masculine feel. Glazed tiles on the upper section of the shower walls, streamlined Schluter trim, & a slate blue vanity keep the space from feeling too rustic.

The same travertine-inspired flooring continues into this jack & jill bathroom, creating continuity and flow throughout the home. Around the tub, handmade style subway tiles are installed with a cleverly alternating pattern of matte and glossy finishes. A herringbone layout creates a subtle focal point.

We love the sage green cabinetry in the laundry room, which beautifully compliments an ecru & grey slate-look on the floor. Although it looks convincingly like a natural slate, this is a porcelain, meaning it is durable, stain resistant, & easy to clean — perfect for a laundry room!

We are beyond thrilled with how this fireplace turned out. Our clients fell in love with this beautiful Italian porcelain tile, so we imported it especially for them & their project. Twelve weeks of waiting paid off in a major way: Strikingly realistic & perfectly shaded, it completely ties the room together and will continue to garner compliments for years to come.
